Ko Da Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. was founded in 1980 and located at the industrial area of Pingzhen district in Taiwan. Ko Da is a modern and professional Chinese herbal medicine manufacturer with GMP license, and three ISO certifications which include:

(a) ISO 9001:2015

(b )ISO/IEC/17025TAF Laboratory Certification

(c) ISO14064 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and removals

Besides, Ko Da has also been awarded the 23rd National Quality Award, 11th National Award of Small and Medium Enterprises, 7th Industrial Sustainable Excellence Award, etc.

Ko Da develops the Chinese herbal medicine, health supplement, premium herb pieces and herb cuisine products with the Chinese herbal concentration and purification techniques, which contain powder, pill, ointment, granule, capsule, tablets, etc. Our products are being supplied to Taiwan local market and 15 countries. Ko Da has more than 700 Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) licenses which approved by TFDA. Ko Da’s TCM products are being selected by more than 80% of medical centers and hospitals in Taiwan nowadays and its efficiency and effectiveness of product has gained a great reputation from the Chinese Medicine industry and consumers.

Ko Da's R&D laboratory and pilot plant provide the design service from raw material stage to development and producing service, which contain Chinese medicine raw materials extraction and purification, Chinese medicine manufacturing, design and development of herbal cosmetics, the general development of health supplement and health supplement certification application for manufacturing, etc.

In order to effectively control the quality of herbs, Ko Da has developed supply chain management from the raw material stage. Ko Da is also the pioneer of establishing the Cloud「Herbal Tracing Platform」in Taiwan, that the information of agricultural base and inspection report can be checked via QR code printed on the packaging. For the medication safety, Ko Da has developed an e-Pharmacy system, “Electronic Barcode Checking System”. The system helps to solve the dispensing error, shorten the medicine searching time and improve the efficiency of pharmacy dispensing, develop the training program based on the dispensing error record, as well as improve the service quality of clinics or hospitals.

Milestone

1980
The company factory building was founded and established by Baishou Pharmaceutical Company in 1980.
1982
Constructed the first-stage factory building.
1983
The Japanese pharmaceutical expert. Dr. Hasegawa, was appointed as plant superintendent who is responsible for product R&D.
1985
The second-stage construction of the G.M.P. plant was completed. Formally set up KO DA Pharmaceutical Company to produce concentrated Chinese herbal medicine.
1987
First batch of Chinese herbal medicine manufacturers who passed the G.M.P. software inspection in Taiwan.
1988
Obtained the government approval as a G.M.P. pharmaceutical company, and scientific Chinese herbal medicine formally entered the market.
1992
Expanded the third-stage construction; the building for storage and warehouse was completed; the integration of factory and office was carried out.
1996
Entered into overseas sales market and exported to United Kingdom, United States, etc.
1997
To abide government policy of maintaining business root in Taiwan, KO DA expanded the fourth-stage construction for the Bio-technology building.
1998
Foods Department was formally set up and health foods formally entered the market.
1999
The Bio-technology building was completed; Cosmetics Business Department and R&D Center were formally established. Domestically became the first company in combining traditional Chinese medicine, health foods and cosmetics into one business.
2004
Awarded as the model company who has demonstrated industrial e-formalization by Ministry of Economic Affairs.

The introduction of ICP, GC test equipment development of heavy metals, pesticides, aflatoxin and other inspection techniques.
2006
E-production tracking system was set up, in order to track the product shipments and sales by using Bar code system.
2007
Introduction of "Electronic Barcode Check System" has successfully obtained the outsourcing pharmacy projects from many general hospitals.
2008
Subsidiary company, Nectar Valley Biopharma Co. was founded, in the development of cosmetics and health foods.
2012
The first "Chinese herbal tracing platform" was established in Taiwan.
2013
EBCS system was upgraded with the patented light signal system of medicine cabinet and medicine packaging & printing machine.
2014
Collaborate with Chinese Medicine department of Tung's Taichung MetroHarbour Hospital in setting up the Healing & Caring centre beside the Chinese medicine pharmacy store.
